June 2006
Well, the first update of 2006 and we're already halfway through the year!
2006 began with DeadHeaven donning their youthful masks and entering the Square's Rock Contest as '7th Guest' in February, making it through to the second round. Officially the 'oldest band' in the contest, the durassic goth-rockers gained a nice dvd & cd of the performance which will hopefully see the light in the next few months. These gigs also debuted the excellent new track 'No More'. Big hello's to NUBE & A DOZEN MOSES, two bands worth looking out for.
March saw the band headlining at the Marquee in Hertford, supported by good-friends HISTORY OF GUNS & the excellent EBM outfit XYKOGEN. In May DeadHeaven supported NUMEN at the Marquee, and saw a lot of familiar faces in attendance. Big hello's & respect to Bob Nu-EPB and his clan.
June has begun with the band supporting the lovely TRASH MONROE at a new venue in Benfleet. 'Capones' Rock Night is currently the brainchild of our dear buddy Nig Turner and his latest venture, THE ANDY ROBINSON BAND. It was a fun evening, which seemed doomed never to happen, but DeadHeaven are looking forward to a return gig there, and also further gigs with Trash Monroe.
The 'GATHERING SOULS EP' is still doing well, and receiving excellent reviews (see the updated REVIEWS page here).
New songs are in the pipeline, and also some gigs in late summer/autumn. Watch this space!!
Love & respect to the usual suspects, especially Big Steve (No1 Stalker) and Peter, History of Guns, Bob Nu-EPB, Dave Morris (photography), the Herts Clan (ride safe Mark!), Bryan Damage, and.....about to be laid to rest, our dear friends (and still currently the UK's Finest Bowie tribute band) CHANGESBOWIE!
See you in the shadows....blessed be. xxx
